We Need More Ringers There have been bellringers at Christ Church since the bells were installed in 1788. The present band of ringers is keeping alive a tradition going back more than 220 years, but at times we struggle to ring more than 6 of the 10 bells we have available to us. To enable us to ring all 10 bells we need to recruit more ringers to join us; then once again 10 bells will ring out over North Shields for Sunday services.
